From Rolling River carpark in Wangapeka Valley, Kahurangi NP go in to Kings hut Friday night. Up to Kiwi Saddle hut and optional climb of Mt Luna on Saturday. Out next day via Gibbs track. M28 / BQ23

6 November  Mt Cawte – easy (scale 2.0) $20

12-13 November  Red Hill – hard (scale 4.6) $13

A two day trip to the highest point in the Richmond Range.
Day 1: From Inwoods Lookout climb 500m toward North Peak then drop down to the Motueka River
via a well marked track. Travel upstream for a while before a short climb to Hunters Hut.
Day 2: A long day covering 23 km over tussock slopes and rocky terrain to the top of Red Hill and
returning home the same way. If worried about the length of Day 2, talk with the trip leader about the
possibility of (A) spending a second night at Hunters hut or (B) turning back from the ridgeline of Red
Hills before traversing all the way to the top. N28 / BR25

The club will be doing the Boulder Bank on both sides between the oxidation ponds and the cottages. We need a minimum of 12 people so come along and make a fine contribution to our environment. Afterwards there should be a get together with some of the other groups for free drinks and apples.

20 November  Bushline Hut – medium (scale 2.1) $22

From Mt Robert car park, up the Pinchgut track to the ridge shelter and then on to Bushline Hut and return via the lower track. N29 / BS24

27 November  Jenkins Hill – medium (scale 2.9) $1

From the Brook motor Camp, up the firebreak to Jenkins Hill then on to Third House. Complete the circuit via Dun Mountain walkway back to the Camp. O27 / BQ26

26-27 November  Hellfire Stream (scale 2.5) $25

Join Dion on another track clearing foray in a tributary of the Wairau River on the Raglan Range, either as a day trip or weekend (great camp sites) Its not all hard work so come along and have a good time. N29, N30 / BS25

The track starts from Maruia Saddle Road south of Murchison. It's a steep climb to camp beyond the summit in a basin beside a small stream. M30 / BS22, BS23

On the Hope Range, via Tadmor- Glenhope, Tui and Hodgkinsons Roads. Re-cut track through bush, climbing steadily to reach the large granite rocks at the summit (1202m). Return the same way. Phone Sue or Gary for further trip info, Jim for booking and transport. M28 / BR24

From the Hacket car park in Aniseed Valley, a total distance of 11km along the Hacket Creek to the hut and back. New bridge means no wet feet getting to the hut. N28, O28 / BQ26

18 December  Maungatapu circuit – fit (scale 3.2 ) $2

Starting from Smiths Ford bridge follow up the new cycle/walking track to the Maitai dam, then up to Dew Lakes, over to Maungatapu Saddle and back via the Maungatapu track. O27 / BQ26
